My first post of 2009 isn’t full of joy and cheers and laughter I’m afraid as I’m well and truly fed up with gloomy, cold, dark days especially when it’s now back to work and back to early mornings time. I’m usually quite a chipper soul but it’s been a real struggle to be cheerful since Monday. Come on weekend, where are you? And especially, come on Spring, where are you?
On the brighter side I have started to investigate florists for my (should that be our?) forthcoming nuptials this July. Have discovered flowers that I didn’t know existed, have been promised wonders by one florist already and now know that I can’t have Lily of the Valley in July as ‘they can’t be forced’ (sounds painful). Hope this sunny disposition towards florists remains once they’ve come back to me with ‘ballpark’ costs. Somehow I doubt this very much…
